The new Venus is on the cover of the magazines, she represents the contemporary ideal model characterized by a skinny body , completely the opposite from the vision of the past.
The mirror is the only “leitmotiv”, an action that allows identification in an idealized beauty in every era. The love for beauty and self-love.
In the contemporary world the achievement of the ideal is facilitated by different means: like plastic surgery or with only illusory conquest given by program and app of photo editing and instant beautification.
Under this apparent perfection what remains? The void and the sense of inadequacy, the continuous approval seeking.
Our self-esteem is no longer tied to a real goal that give meaning to our life, but is connect to imposed aesthetic parameters. The pursuit of beauty will become an obsession. Always in search of eternal youth.
The “Narcissus” bracelets has been created in response to a future necessity, an obsessive need to mirror.
The bracelet is designed so that the person who wears it can be mirrored by joining his wrists and turning them inside, so that he can create an intimacy and be able to mirror himself away from foreign eyes

La nuova Venere è sulle copertine delle riviste, rappresenta il modello ideale di bellezza contemporanea caratterizzato da un corpo magro, completamente opposto alla visione del passato.
Lo specchiarsi rimane l’unico filo conduttore,un’azione che permette l’identificazione nella bellezza idealizzata in ogni epoca. L’amore per la bellezza
e l’amore per sé stessi rimane.Nella contemporaneità
il raggiungimento dell’ideale viene facilitato con diversi mezzi,come la chirurgia plastica o con la conquista solamente illusoria, data dai vari programmi
e applicazioni di fotoritocco e abbellimento istantaneo. Sotto questo guscio di apparente perfezione cosa rimane? Il vuoto, il senso di inadeguatezza,
la continua ricerca di approvazione degli altri.
La nostra autostima non è più legata a dei reali obbiettivi che diano senso alla nostra vita,
ma a parametri estetici imposti.La ricerca della bellezza, diventerà così ossessione. Sempre alla ricerca dell’eterna giovinezza.Il bracciale Narcissus nasce quindi per rispondere ad una futura necessità, ovvero il bisogno ossessivo di potersi specchiare.Il bracciale è progettato in modo da potersi specchiare unendo i polsi e rivolgendoli all’interno,così da poter creare un’intimità e potersi specchiare lontano da occhi estranei.​

The body of the bracelet is designed in burnished and hammered steel, this choice of material was thought to make a contrast from the mirrored steel, in order to give more emphasis on our reflection.
The reflective part of the bracelets is designed in polished stainless steel. The closing hinge is visible and made of stainless steel, a reference to the ancient wrought iron handcuffs.
The fact of being able to mirror only by joining the two bracelets, creates a constriction similar to that of the handcuff, which symbolizes the narcissistic state, who love only its own image and it’s not distracted by the world around it.
Il corpo del bracciale è stato progettato in acciaio martellato
e brunito, questo materiale è stato pensato per contrastare con la parte in acciaio specchiato, così da permettere un maggiore risalto alla nostra figura. La parte del bracciale a specchio, è realizzato in acciaio inox lucido effetto specchio. La cerniera di chiusura è a vista e realizzata in acciaio inox, un rimando alle antiche manette in ferro battuto.Il fatto di potersi specchiare solamente unendo i due bracciali crea quindi una costrizione simile a quella delle manette, che simboleggia lo stato in cui si ritrova il narciso, il quale amando solamente la propria immagine, non viene distratto dal mondo che lo circonda.
