PERCEZIONI
Paper has always been considerate a simple and apparently poor material, the challenge for this project has been create a new value to this material.
Optical art can create a variability in the perception of reality, with simple geometric figures. The earing and pendant “Percezioni” are designed starting from the series of artwork entitled “Dinamica Circolare” by Marina Apollonio. Thanks to the graphic print of repetitive geometric pattern and the layering of the paper, these jewels, acquire three-dimensionality and movement, like the artist’s painting of the artist. The pendant is divided into three modules, that can be rotated thanks to metal component not visible from the outside.
In this case, the poor and simple material acquires a new value, interconnecting with art.
La carta, è da sempre considerata un materiale semplice ed apparentemente povero, la sfida per questo progetto è stata ridare un nuovo valore a questo materiale. L’optical art, riesce a creare delle variabilità nella percezione della realtà, con delle semplici geometrie. Gli orecchini e il ciondolo “Percezioni”, sono stati realizzati partendo dalla serie di opere intitolata “Dinamica circolare” di Marina Apollonio. Grazie alla stampa grafica del motivo geometrico ripetitivo e alla stratificazione della carta, questi gioielli, acquistano tridimensionalità e movimento, proprio come le opere dell’artista.
Il ciondolo è suddiviso in tre moduli, rotabili grazie a dei componenti metallici non visibili all’esterno.
Il materiale povero in questo caso acquista un valore nuovo, interconnettendosi con l’arte.
Optical art, is a artistic movement based on optical illusion, with contrast of shapes and the use of black and white. For the project “Percezioni” project, I was inspired by “Dinamiche Circolari “ by Marina Apollonio,
in particular by work “9B” of 1969 and the work “6s+s” of 1966.
L’Optical art, è una corrente artistica basata sulle illusioni ottiche, contrasti di forme e il grande uso del bianco e nero. Per il progetto “Percezioni” mi sono ispirato alle dinamiche circolari di Marina Apollonio, in particolare all’opera “9B” del 1969 e all’opera 6s+s del 1966.
L’op art è nata negli anni 60, questo stile si è diffuso anche nella moda e negli accesori di quegli anni. Il progetto “percezioni” vuole richiamare questo periodo storico/artistico.
The op art movement was born in the 60s, this style spread also in the fashion and accessory of those years. The “pecezioni” project wants to recall this historical and artistic period.
