WALLABY

The Wallaby bag was design for a workshop, in collaboration with Zanellato, an Italian company of leather goods; the main theme of the workshop was the study of functionality.
Starting from a search in the city, based on careful observation of people and how the bags are brought, I noticed how many people carried backpacks on the chest and bags frontally close to the body, this to have more security.
Another problem was in the bad distribution of the weight of the bag on the body, especially on the shoulders.
To try to answer these two problems, I designed Wallaby, thanks to a harness distributes the weight on both shoulders, the front positioning of the bag allows greater control and safety.
The harness is adjustable thanks to the straps. The bag is also versatile, in fact it can be used also as a clutch bag or for short walks, with one shoulder strap.

La borsa Wallaby nasce da un workshop, in collaborazione con Zanellato, azienda italiana di pelletteria; il tema principale era la funzionalità.
Partendo da una ricerca in città, basata su un’attenta osservazione delle persone e sul come le borse vengono portate, ho notato come molte di esse portavano zaini sul petto e le borse frontalmente vicino al corpo, questo per avere una maggiore sicurezza.
Un altro problema riscontrato, era nella mal distribuzione del peso della borsa sul corpo, soprattutto sulle spalle. Per cercare di rispondere a questi due problemi,ho progettato Wallaby, grazie ad un’imbragatura distribuisce il peso su entrambe le spalle, il posizionamento frontale sul ventre permette un maggiore controllo e quindi sicurezza. L’imbracatura è regolabile grazie a delle cinghie.
La borsa inoltre è versatile, infatti può essere utilizzata anche come pochette o per brevi passeggiate, con la cinghia monospalla.
